An affectionate
bird this member of the parrot family has been found
to be a very desirable pet. Tagged as an endangered specie it hales
from Indonesia where its natural habitat is threatened. Though little
is known of its habits in the wild it does nest in the hollow of rees
and with its uniquely shaped tongue scrapes pollen from flowers
and feeds on small insects.
