Housed within a special building in a simulated environment
in the
CENTRAL
PARK ZOO called "The Edge Of The Icepack"
is the penguin exhibit. In this extraordinary replica of a polar
landscape you will find a colony of Gentoo and Chinstrap penguins
that dominate the arena with a natural flair that most children find
both fascinating and amusing. With their squealing sounds channeled
beyond their glass enclosure by a speaker system one becomes
trapped in the urrounding darkness by the real sights and sounds
of the wilderness.
