One of the most fragrant and colorful fields
in Central Park is a lush green meadow
called the East Green, located in the Dene’s northern pasture. Kwanzan
cherry trees, crabapples and magnolias
decorate this field with brilliant blooms
during the springtime. These beautiful
trees are greatly admired by the many
people who gather to this field to enjoy
their delicately sweet aroma.
Designated a quiet zone, this field provides
an ideal atmosphere for sunbathing during
the warm weather months as well as relaxing,
reading and contemplating year round.
