The main
gateway to Center Drive on the
south central Part of the Park, Artists' Gate
is the pathway for many visitors. With the
towering statue of José Julian Martí the
South American liberator and its long stairway
down to the Pond it provides a direct route to Wollman Rink, which is directly
to the north.
Located at 6th Avenue and Central Park South,
Artists Gate is the western boundary for the
carriage line-up which extends to this point
from Grand Army Plaza.
